Archaeological Map of Albania

Archaeological Map of AlbaniaExtensive reference book on the richness and diversity of Albanian archaeological heritage, in Albanian and French versions, to be released soon.

Over 300 pages, rich in contents and illustrations, presenting main Albanian archaeological sites and finds: this is the outline of the work recently accomplished by a team of senior Albanian archaeologists, coordinated by prof. Pierre Cabanes, and funded by the UNESCO Trust Fund for Cultural heritage in South-Eastern Europe.

The volume, to be soon released by the Culture section of UNESCO Office in Venice, intends to support the knowledge and enjoyment of the rich Albanian archaeological heritage, combining scientific research with promotional aims. Composed of two thematic sections, dedicated to Prehistory and Antiquity, the book also includes assessments of the conservation status of main archaeological sites, indicating priorities for intervention.

The first edition will be issued in two language versions, Albanian and French.
