Opening of second "Cultural Heritage Info Centre" in Romania

Following the successful inauguration of the "Cultural Heritage Info Centre" in Sibiu (April 2007), a twin Centre will be officially opened in Sighisoara on 19 June 2007.

The Centre, created by Mioritics Association thanks to the support of UNESCO Office in Venice and Cooperazione Italiana, will provide information about cultural sites and routes in the Sighisoara area, and more in general over main features of Romanian cultural heritage, including UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Centre’s activities will also include the organisation of cultural events, the promotion of local tangible and intangible heritage, as well as the production and distribution of informative materials
