Cultural heritage in Romania: final report on activities for promotion of villages with fortified churches

Activities for the promotion of villages with fortified churches in Transylvania, implemented within the Trust Fund for cultural heritage in SEE, closed in October 2007 with an extremely positive balance.

After the start-up workshop which took place in Ludbreg (Croatia) on 24-25 September 2007, regular training activities for the course “Communication of Heritage” have started on 15 October.

SEE Ministers of Culture approve the Zadar Declaration

Ministers of culture of South-East European countries plus Italy, gathered in Zadar on occasion of fourth Ministerial Conference on cultural heritage in SEE, approved a common statement for the enhancement of regional cooperation on the safeguarding and promotion of the shared cultural legacy.

Inauguration of exhibition about Thracian heritage in Bulgaria

The archaeological exhibition The Thracian Cosmos: the Sacred Realm of Kings, will be officially opened on 30 November 2006, in the town of Kazanlak (Bulgaria). On show most important and beautiful findings from excavations in the so-called “valley of Thracian kings”, shedding new light on Thracian religious beliefs and cosmogonical notions.
