On 15 Marc 2009, the Serbian Ministry of Culture is organising a seminar on the topic "Tourism and the medieval fortresses along the Danube in Serbia: balancing safeguarding, social benefit and economic impact". The workshop is the third meeting organised out of a programme of 7 events at local and national level, intended to support the creation of partnerships for the enhancement of sustainable cultural tourism along the medieval fortresses on the river Danube.

Macedonian Cultural Heritage:
4 new publications presented
On 12 November 2009 the Macedonian Minister of Culture, Ms. Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska, opened the official ceremony for the presentation of 4 publications on the safeguarding and promotion of Macedonian Cultural Heritage. The event, held at Daut Pasha Hamam, also saw the participation of Mr. Pasko Kusman, Director of the Cultural Heritage Protection Office in Skopje, and of the Director of UNESCO Venice Office.
