Bulgaria: opening of new exhibition on sacred Thracian sites

On July 26, in Yambol, a photographic exhibition was inaugurated at the museum of the archaeological site of Kabilè, ancient capital of the Thracian kings

Sacred sanctuaries, rich ornaments, objects of devotion and of daily life: archeological researches in Bulgaria are bringing to light an ever richer evidence of the wealth and power of the Thracians, one of the civilizations that most contributed to shape the culture and the history of Europe in the period of antiquity.

With the aim to raise awareness about this cultural heritage, and to strengthen its promotion at both national and international level, a new exhibition was inaugurated on July 26 at the museum of the ancient Thracian capital Kabile, close to the city of Yambol.

Inauguration of Krusevo Ethno-Town Festival

On July 17 the 2010 edition of the Krusevo Ethno-Town Festival was officially kicked-off, at the presence of 4 ministers of the Macedonian government and the representatives of UNESCO Venice Office

Within the framework of the sub-regional project «Cultural Heritage - a Bridge towards a Shared Future», financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Cooperazione Italiana, the UNESCO Venice Office supported the organization of the 2nd edition of the Krusevo Ethno-Town Festival, which was officially inaugurated on July 16 at the presence of 4 members of Macedonian cabinet of Ministers.

The event was participated by over 10.000 visitors and citizens of Krusevo, and it was reported in the main news media of the country.
